Outline
The purpose of this scholarship is to award two full Residential Scholarships annually to Indigenous students studying a degree program in the Faculty of Science or Faculty of Engineering at UNSW. Recipients will also receive a stipend of $5,000 pa for the duration of the degree program.
Eligibility
- Applicants must have received an offer of admission to UNSW through the UNSW Indigenous Admissions Scheme; and
- Applying for or have been offered a place at any UNSW residential accommodation or at Shalom College; and
- Be commencing in a UNSW eligible degree program in the Faculty of Science or Faculty of Engineering.
Selection
Each applicant will be assessed on:
- Nomination by Nura Gili for the Nura Gili Indigenous Admissions Scheme
- Nomination from UNSW Colleges and/or Shalom College
- Aptitude and commitment to studies
- Contributions to the wider community; for example through sport, community groups or other extra-curricular or cultural activities
Interviews
Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend an interview as part of the UNSW Indigenous Admissions Scheme.
