UNSW Continuing Scholars Award

Are you a current International student and thinking of commencing a Postgraduate coursework program in Term 1, 2025?  

The UNSW Continuing Scholars Award has been established to assist International students considering progressing their study with UNSW.  It is available to eligible UNSW International students who complete their undergraduate or postgraduate studies in Term 3, 2024 and will commence into a new postgraduate study program at UNSW in Term 1 2025. The Award provides $5,000 directly towards tuition fees, applied in the second term of the first year of postgraduate study.  

To be eligible, applicants must: 

  • Be a graduating international undergraduate or postgraduate UNSW student in Term 3, 2024; and 
  • Be enrolling in full-time study on campus in a UNSW postgraduate coursework degree program (excluding UNSW Online, and UNSW Canberra or from within nested programs); and 
  • Have received and accepted a postgraduate letter of offer (unconditional) into an eligible program for Term 1 2025.

    How do I apply?

    There is no application required for this Award. Students that meet the eligibility criteria will be automatically considered for this award.

    What is the value of the UNSW Continuing Scholars Award?

    $5,000 for one year towards tuition fees. Payment will be made directly towards tuition fees in the second term of the first year of study. 

    How will I be assessed?

    Each applicant will be assessed based on their UNSW Admissions Application. You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate:

    How will I be notified?

    Existing students that have received an offer letter for a Postgraduate Coursework Program in Term 1, 2025 and are deemed to be eligible to receive the UNSW Continuing Scholars Award will be notified via email.

    New applicants for Postgraduate Coursework Program in Term 1, 2025, that are deemed eligible for the UNSW Continuing Scholars Award, will be notified in their UNSW Postgraduate Coursework offer letter. 

    Combine your scholarships

    We offer a range of scholarships and awards to support international students. You may be able to combine other international scholarships in addition to the UNSW Continuing Scholars Award (excluding full-tuition waiver scholarships). 

    For current International Student Award (ISA) recipients which will complete their Undergraduate coursework program in Term 3, 2024 and will commence their Postgraduate coursework program in Term 1, 2025, you are eligible to hold both ISA and the UNSW Continuing Scholars Award.
